The Art of Sermon Preparation – Dr. Steve Estep – 9:30 a.m.
Dr. Steve Estep will share with us in two sessions. The first session will focus on “what to say.” This is how we engage the text and sermon content. The second session will address “how to say it.” Ideas and options for sermon form will be discussed. Pastor Estep will take a text and help us work through it in a homiletical form so that we can work together to apply the training in a practical way. DR. STEVE ESTEP is the senior pastor at First Church of the Nazarene in Marion, Ohio. He is a graduate of Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary (MDiv), and McCormick Theological Seminary
(DMin in preaching). Dr. Estep has been an adjunct professor of preaching at Nazarene Theological Seminary. Pastor Steve is the author of The Call to Preach—The Art of Sermon Preparation published by the Foundry. He and his wife, Michelle, have three children, Brandon, Brooke, and Blake.
