East Ohio District Pastors and Churches:

 

As you know, the 2007-2008 church year is quickly drawing to a close; the final Sunday of the church year is April 27. I trust it has been a rewarding year for all, and that you are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for the new year.

 

The Sixty-Sixth annual assembly of the East Ohio District will be held May 29-30, 2008, at the Canton First Church of the Nazarene. General Superintendent, Dr. James H. Diehl, will preside.

 

Your timely cooperation with the following checklist is essential for a successful assembly.

ASSEMBLY REPORT FORMS

Deadline: Friday, May 2 – Once completed online, it does not need to be mailed this year! Watch your mail this week for a hard copy of this letter with your username and PIN filled in below. Your User Name and PIN will be the same as last year’s. If you need this info and wish to get an early start on your report, you may email www.championnaz@neo.rr.com


Please note the following clarification from the General Secretary’s office:

Line 20c Point to Point Non-Cash Gifts - NOTE: This line item WILL NOT be calculated in the Total Paid General Interests Line 23 nor the Grand Total Line 24. 

 

NON-CASH GIFTS (GIFTS IN KIND) ONLY COUNT TOWARD 10% GIVING ON LINE X.

Because the value of such gifts do not represent cash dollars but estimated value of the gift, it was determined that this reported amount should count toward 10% giving but not toward the total paid in general interests by the church. This way the church’s budget base for the following year will not be inflated by these amounts entered on line 20c. This will cause the totals on lines 23 and 24 to be different than the actual total if calculated manually, so be sure your pastors are aware of this difference.
